Required Qualification: (As Evidenced by an Attached Resume)
Ph.D. degree (or foreign equivalent) in Biology, Biochemistry, Cancer Biology, or a closely related biological discipline, followed by at least one year of post-doctoral experience. Three years minimum experience in cell biology, molecular biology, biochemistry, cancer biology or closely related field. The candidate needs to have a strong publication record in peer-reviewed journals, high motivation, and strong ability to work independently as well as collaboratively. Technical expertise in standard molecular and cell biology techniques, including cell culture, flow cytometry, transfections/viral transductions, siRNA, q/RT-PCR, Western blotting, immunoprecipitation, and in in vivo animal studies is required.
Experience in mouse breast cancer models, human breast cancer, stem cells, cancer stem cells, and computational analysis.
Brief Description of Duties:
The selected candidate is expected to independently plan, conduct and document experiments, evaluate and interpret data, prepare manuscripts, grant proposals, regulatory documents, and oral and poster presentations. Independently design, conduct and trouble-shoot experiments and analyze data from tissue culture, mouse studies, molecular biology and computational experiments.
- Plan and Conduct experiments, analyze and document data.
- Overall lab management, Training personnel on specialized skills and research methods.
- Write manuscripts, grant proposals, regulatory documents (IACUC, IBC, IRB).
- Other duties as assigned.
Special Notes: This is a full time position. provisions of the FLSA. This is a full time position. FLSA Exempt position, not eligible for the overtime provisions of the FLSA.
