The Department of Housing and Residence Life at the University of North Texas is a growing organization which serves nearly 6,300 students in 15 residence halls. Our department is organized into the following areas: housing operations, residence life, and financial administration. Job Description
The Housing Department at the University of North Texas is seeking to hire a Sr. Administrative Specialist to join our team. Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:

* Responsible for ensuring all levels of employees are properly put on payroll by submitting ePARs (electronic form) in EIS.
* Responsible for ensuring all supervisors are maintaining, checking, posting, and approving all part-time and full time employee's hours worked for the department.
* Coordinate all work study efforts working with the Financial Aid Department for part-time desk employees; Keep track of balances, and make changes accordingly.
* Responsible for working with administrators and summer supervisors on leave status to properly schedule summer work.
* Assist Manager of Housing Personnel with maintaining files on all full-time and part-time employees.
* Run reports and assist Housing Manager of Personnel with full-time employee's time accrual and usage audit yearly.
* Helps instruct all new employees on their duties in preparing university forms (tax forms, personnel information, direct deposit, I-9, on-boarding, off-boarding etc...).
* Acts as the I9 coordinator for the department.
* Assists with training for the department related to this area.

Minimum Qualifications
The successful candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree and three years of highly responsible and varied office administration or business management experience; or any equivalent combination of experience, education, and training. The following knowledge, skills, and abilities are required:

* Exceptional customer service skills.
* Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
* Knowledge of accounting/budgeting procedures.
* Ability to work under pressure, to adjust to constant changes, to handle multiple tasks, and to coordinate the work of others.
* Ability to keep complex records, to assemble and organize data of complex nature, and to prepare and submit reports in acceptable formats.
* Ability to conceptualize, plan and organize multiple programs and assignments effectively.
* Ability to work on complex and confidential tasks utilizing judgment, tact, and resourcefulness.
* Skill in developing and maintaining good working relationships.
* Knowledge of policies, practices, procedures and terminology of assigned function.
* Supervisory skills.

Preferred Qualifications
The preferred candidate will possess the following additional qualifications:

* Advanced knowledge and proficiency using Microsoft Suite.
* Ability to create elaborate spreadsheets using formulas.
* Prior experience in using EIS (Enterprise Information System) and ePARs (electronic payroll action request).
* Highly organized and detail oriented with an advanced ability to prioritize and handle coordinating multiple tasks simultaneously.
* Highly motivated individual and the ability to perform with minimal supervision.
