Department Overview
The College of Engineering (CENG) is comprised of six departments, Biomedical Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical and Energy Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering, and Engineering Technology. We currently enroll over 3,000 undergraduates and approximately 600 graduate students.

Job Description
The Engineering-Dean's Office Department at the University of North Texas is seeking to hire an Assistant Director, College Grant Support to join our team. Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:

* Manage and direct the College Research Office of 4 full-time staff positions to facilitate the pre and post award processes.
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of UNT, sponsor, state and federal regulations governing submission and processing funding.
* Oversee post award reconciliation and processing of expenses, budget revisions and no-cost extension requests.
* Assist faculty in submitting timely fiscal and technical reports.
* Monitor and assist in managing timelines and deadlines of proposal submissions.
* Prepare management and internal reports for strategic planning and decision making.
* Effort Report Coordinator.
* Assist faculty with research compliance processes.

Minimum Qualifications
The successful candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree in related field and three years of professional related experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience. The following knowledge, skills, and abilities are required:
* Research administration work experience.
* Working knowledge of sponsor requirements, systems and forms, as well as Research Services forms and processes, i.e., Budget Builder, Current and Pending, Routing, and Cost Shares.
* Knowledge of DoD, DOE, NASA, NIST, DARPA, NSF funding agencies.

Preferred Qualifications
The preferred candidate will possess the following additional qualifications:

* Experience managing an office including supervising staff.
* Knowledge of UNT fiscal reporting (Cognos), employment and purchasing systems.
* Knowledge of federal state and local granting agencies.
* Knowledge of federal Uniform Guidance guidelines and standards.
