The Pediatric Nephrology Division seeks an individual to provide patient care specific to renal disease management.

Responsibilities of the position include, but not limited to skilled assessments, care plans and care plan implementation, patient education and clinical evaluation or interventions.

The person in this position will need to be reliable and have good judgment and interpersonal skills. This position will provide nursing support at outreach clinic locations, as well as participate in a rotating on-call schedule for patients and families on peritoneal dialysis.

The position is a 40 hour per week position, with occasional overtime and on-call status in rotation with the other RN team members. The position will be offered the option of four 10-hour work days or five 8-hour work days to fulfill the needs of the division.

Physical Requirements

The essential functions for this position include the ability to lift, carry, push, and pull 50-100 pounds on a daily basis and 25-50 pounds frequently; as well as stand, walk and sit for long periods of time. The conditions of work may involve exposure to communicable diseases, hazards of radiation



Shift

Monday - Friday, 40 hours, shift options are four 10 hour shifts or five 8 hour shifts; to be determined prior to start date. Position also involves taking rotating call for Peritoneal Diaylsis Patients and Families once on-boarding and training have been completed.



Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

Superb direct patient care and critical thinking skills; basic computer navigation skills and working knowledge of the internet; ability to communicate with patient families and provider/peer team.
Registered Nurse, Customer Service, and Organizational Skills.
