Description
The Department of Neuroscience and the Center for Theoretical and Computational Neuroscience at the University of Texas at Austin invite applications for a new tenure- track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor from candidates who use theoretical and computational approaches to study the brain at any level of organization. Current faculty members within the Department of Neuroscience have broad expertise in learning, memory, motor, visual, auditory, and cognitive systems, neural development, addiction, and ion channel biophysics. The successful candidate will demonstrate an ability to lead a vibrant research program within an exciting academic environment and contribute to diversity in higher education through her or his research, teaching, and service activities.

This position will add to the culture of collaboration across the strong research programs in Neuroscience, Physics, Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, and Psychology at the University of Texas at Austin. Austin is widely recognized as one of America's most beautiful and livable cities.
