Responsibilities include teaching a wide variety of Textiles and Apparel courses, emphasis on apparel design; participating in numerous non-teaching activities including, but not limited to, division meetings, academic and career advisement, course development, lab management scholarly/creative activities related to the apparel industry and fashion education; and participating in service related to the university community.
Participate in program, division, school, college, and university service activities.
Apparel industry experience gained through working with established companies or developing one's own business; expertise in flat pattern, draping, and garment construction skills; proficiency in CAD, Illustrator, PhotoShop, and InDesign; familiarity with international markets either through studying or working abroad; and, understanding of fashion show production, fashion promotion, and fashion marketing.
Masters in a related field (required). College-level teaching experience (preferred).
