Job Description
SUMMARY OF POSITION
Silvercote LLC is a wholly owned subsidiary of Knauf Insulaiton. Silvercote produces and sells custom insulation solutions for the metal building industry. The business is a made to order, highly collaborative and highly driven culture. Silvercote has multiple locations across North America and works in a very collaborative culture to drive results. This position is based in Greenville, South Carolina. Relocation is not offered in this role.
The primary function of this position is to strategically source and develop Suppliers for Silvercote and manage SKUs. This includes negotiation to ensure competitive prices, rebates, payment terms, product quality, customer service and supply agreements to include indemnification and product liability insurance. This position manages inventory of all raw materials and packaging. This position will have one direct report and may also perform the function of a working manager replenishing inventory, sourcing orders, SKU maintenance, etc. This role will manage one direct report.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Purchasing
• Act as liaison between the Manufacturing and Supplier communities
• Manage a group of suppliers to include performance, support, pricing, costing of products, rebate programs and quality of materials
• Manage a the inventory assets of the manufacturing network across multi-locations across in North America
• Negotiate programs with suppliers to be a win/win for the parties involved
• Manage and establish supplier relationships to ensure that we are building strategic partnerships
• Management of routine for buying and replenishing to ensure Manufacturing network has the right product, at the right quantity, at the right time to deliver finished goods
• Develop reporting mechanisms to business leaders to ensure tracking and course correction
• Manage Inventory replenishment (raw materials and packaging)
• Review and performance management of suppliers and Monitor implementation of corrective action plans as needed
• Establish and maintain material specifications
• Responsible for management of new supplier contact process to include; accurate contract completion, certificate of insurance, non-disclosure agreements in coordination with corporate legal
• Develop reports from various programs and analyze data to achieve desired results
• Act as a focal point and monitor assigned areas to ensure delivery dates meet production needs
• Interface with engineering, program/product management, operations, marketing and other departments as required to negotiate supplier agreements
• Analyze data to determine opportunities to decrease inventory, improve customer service levels and reduce total costs
• Perform daily sourcing and replenishment as needed
• SKU management and rationalization

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Education:
• Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree in a related field preferred

Experience:
• Minimum five (5) years of experience in similar purchasing role in a distribution or manufacturing environment
• Multi-site experience preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Organizational and time management skills
• Negotiation skills
• MS Office skills; proficient in Excel, Word and Power Point
• Self-directed and goal-driven
• Working knowledge of inventory management systems
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced ever-changing atmosphere
• Ability to communicate effectively throughout the organization at all levels, team player/collaborative style
• Ability to travel approximately 10% of the time
• Background in leadership or management; coach and develop individuals
