Saz's Catering: Event Managers
SAZ'S CATERING OFF PROMISE EVENT SUPERVISOR
An Event Supervisor is an extension of the Management Team and is responsible for all aspects of an event in the absence of Management. This includes exceptional communication with the Event Manager and the coordination of staff and resources before, during, and after events.
Position Qualifications/Responsibilities Include:
- Overall management of events between 20 and 500 guests
- Assist Management with the execution of events from 500 to 20,000 guests
- Event set up and execution
- Event timeline adherence
- Customer and client relations
- On-site vendor and rental coordination
- Assist Management in creating and implementing new design concepts
- Allocation of staff duties and responsibilities on-site, including staff training in the following areas, when necessary:
- Company policies and procedures
- Buffet and stations set up
- Serving techniques
- Equipment set up, presentation, operation, and maintenance
Milwaukee-based Saz's Hospitality Group includes Saz's State House Restaurant, Saz's Catering, Saz's Catering Lake Country Saz's Barbecue retail products, Saz's Festivals, and Sazama's Fine Catering. Owned and operated by Steve Sazama.
Steve Sazama, known throughout the Milwaukee area as Saz, opened Saz's State House Restaurant in March 1976. With a recipe for barbecue sauce and determination to run a first-rate restaurant, he opened Saz's in an inviting, historic building on State Street. The restaurant continues to feature his award-winning barbecue ribs and signature barbecue pork sandwich in addition to Saz's Festival Famous Sour Cream and Chive Fries and Mozzarella Marinara.
Saz's Catering division, opened in 1990. In addition to catering parties, corporate functions, weddings, picnics and tailgates, Saz's Catering provides services for many local events, including the Hospitality Village at Wisconsin State Fair, the VIP Towers at Road America, Summerfest Corporate Venues, and the Tundra Tailgate Zone at Lambeau Field.Saz's caters over 1,800 events annually ranging in size from five to 20,000 guests per event.
In 1992, Saz took his famous original recipe barbecue sauce to grocer shelves and started the Barbecue Products division. In addition to the four barbecue sauce flavors (Original, Sassy, Vidalia Onion & Spicy White), BBQ Ribs, Mini Mozzarella Sticks, Natural Cheddar Curds and Sour Cream and Chive Fries are distributed through local grocery stores and at sazs.com. In 2010 Saz's became the Barbecue Partner of the Green Bay Packers
Saz's Festivals brings Saz's signature products to Summerfest, Wisconsin State Fair, Bastille Days and a multitude of other Summer events through Milwaukee and surrounding communities.
Sazama's Fine Catering division was created in 2010. Sazama's is a full service caterer in the Marcus Center for the Performing Arts providing exceptional cuisine, impressive service and unwavering attention to detail for wedding receptions, high profile corporate events and a myriad of social affairs.
Saz's Catering Lake Country officially began May 1, 2012. Operating as exclusive caterer for Western Lakes Golf Club and catering off-premise as well, Saz's Catering Lake Country serves groups from 20 to 20,000 and offers everything from drop-off luncheons to formal and informal meetings, parties, and elegant weddings and banquets.
