CORNISH COLLEGE OF THE ARTS
Cornish College of the Arts seeks a charismatic and inspiring leader with the intellectual breadth, communication skills, and experience to manage a specialized, complex organization. The successful candidate shall be a collaborative leader with a distinguished record of outstanding professional accomplishment and leadership success. They shall have a proven track record of developing and executing a strategic vision; a demonstrated commitment to equity and inclusion; and must be a persuasive and sophisticated communicator who can represent the College to a broad range of stakeholders and partners.
Begun in 1914, Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle offers Bachelor of Fine Arts degrees in the performing and visual arts, as well as multiple public programs and extension courses. Cornish is accredited by the Northwest Commission of Colleges and Universities and the National Association of Schools of Art and Design.
The mission of Cornish College of the Arts is to provide students aspiring to become practicing artists with an educational program of the highest possible quality, in an environment that nurtures creativity and intellectual curiosity, while preparing them to contribute to society as artists, citizens, and innovators. Cornish realizes this mission by offering baccalaureate studies in the performing and visual arts and by serving as a focal point in the community for public presentation, artistic criticism, participation, and discussion of the arts.
