Tenure-Track, Analytical Chemistry
The University of North Alabama invites applications for a tenure-track position in the Department of Chemistry and Industrial Hygiene beginning August 2018. Candidates must have a Ph.D. in chemistry with post-doctoral experience preferred. Candidates who are ABD will also be considered. Teaching duties will include quantitative analysis, chemical instrumentation and general or introductory chemistry. The successful candidate must demonstrate a dedication to excellence in teaching, a proficiency in the use and maintenance of a variety of analytical instruments and a commitment to research that is appropriate for an undergraduate department. Experience in online teaching or a willingness to learn how to develop and teach online courses is required. Participation in college service and student advisement is also expected. Salary will be commensurate with degree, rank and experience. Review of application materials will begin December 1, 2017 and continue until the position is filled.
