Radford University Division of Student Affairs Coordinator of Greek Life Radford University is a comprehensive public university of nearly 10,000 undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral students with 3,200 on-campus residents. Radford is located in the heart of the beautiful New River Valley of Southwest Virginia, 15 minutes to Blacksburg and Christiansburg, 30 minutes to the Blue Ridge Parkway, and 45 minutes to the Roanoke airport and metropolitan area. Radford University seeks experienced applicants for the position of Coordinator of Greek Life. The position is a full-time, twelve-month classified position with benefits. The position requires an energetic, student-centered, and team oriented collegiate student activities professional who has a demonstrated record of leadership and student advising skills. Requires demonstrated ability to advise and train students; knowledge of college student personnel relating to leadership, student life, and programming with an understanding of student developmental theory; Demonstrated knowledge of development of educational programs and activities for Greek Life; demonstrated knowledge of Greek Life including but not limited to risk management and recruitment/membership intake procedures, contract negotiation, policy development, and strategic planning. Coordinator must have an active membership in an international or national fraternity or sorority. Required Qualifications: Requires an advanced degree in Student Development, Higher Education Administration, Counseling, or related field; or an equivalent level of education, training and experience environment with colleagues, administration, and faculty. Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills required. Fiscal management experience. Ability to supervise and work with student leaders as well as student employees. Ability to foster a collaborative work environment with colleagues, administration, and faculty. Solid background in Greek Life as a member of an organization or partner; experience working with diverse populations in a state university or similar setting. Candidate must be a current member of a Greek-lettered organization. Additionally, successful candidates will have a minimum of one year of campus based fraternity and/or sorority management experience can include graduate assistantships/internship or 2 years of undergraduate experience). Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree in Student Development, Higher Education Administration, Counseling or related field or an equivalent level of education, training and experience.
