Summary of Duties:
General responsibilities include:
  • Develop and maintain a vigorous research program supported by extramural funding;
  • Develop and teach courses on topics in modern plant biology that complements existing courses;
  • Train/mentor graduate students;
  • Work effectively with individuals and groups with a variety of identities, cultures, backgrounds, and ideologies in a global environment;
  • Participate in committee service at the department, college, and/or university level, and;
  • The successful applicant will be expected to conduct a program of research consistent with the missions of the WSU Agricultural Research Center.

    Required Qualifications:
    • Earned Ph.D. or equivalent in a fundamental area of modern plant science or a related discipline at date of hire;
    • At least one year postdoctoral experience by start date, and;
    • Expertise in using innovative approaches in plant biochemistry/biophysics, structural biology, systems biology, or phenomics/phenotyping in key strategic areas of plant metabolism, growth and development.
