At Stanford, we've offered MS and PhD degrees in computational mathematics for over 30 years. As an interdisciplinary research and teaching institute operating at the intersection of applied math, statistics, computer science, and applications, the Institute for Computational and Mathematical Engineering (ICME) brings highly-qualified students with a variety of academic backgrounds from all over the world together with a core of more than 50 faculty from 20-plus departments in six Stanford schools.

Through robust coursework, the ICME master's program track in Mathematical and Computational Finance (MCF) is focused on training a small group of exceptionally talented graduate students to enter the world of quantitative finance and compete successfully in it. MCF curriculum offers courses in basic applied and computational mathematics, statistics, and financial mathematics, and is designed to prepare students to assume positions in the financial industry as data and information scientists, quantitative analysts, risk managers, regulators, algorithmic traders, or to continue on to doctoral programs in related fields. Our vibrant community includes alumni who are in top investment banks and hedge funds, in startups, and in academic positions, and our current student cohorts continue to drive the MCF tradition forward.

The Academic Program Professional will assume a central role in the MCF track, working under the direction of the MCF faculty to develop and adapt educational programs; recruit, mentor, and advise students; create a cohesive cohort; and organize and deliver seminars, events, outreach programs, and course content. In order to facilitate student placement in competitive positions following graduation, this position will also seek to develop and maintain relationships with key individuals in the financial services industry. Understanding and anticipating current and emerging priorities for hiring quantitatively trained MS students is
