Job Description

JOB SUMMARY:

Adult Group Program (AGP) is a habilitative day program for adults with special needs, as well as, respite program for elderly consumers. We are first and foremost responsible for the consumer's well-being and safety. AGP is centered on both facility and non-facility based activities. While at the facility our consumers experience group discussions, group games, appropriate educational lessons tailored to consumer's abilities (i.e. reading, writing, math, money skills, etc.), complete arts and crafts projects and learn independent living skills. AGP also offers excursions ranging from educational outings at museums to recreational excursions at malls, state parks and on tours of local establishments. The AGP Manager is responsible for the overall operation of the Adult Group Program.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
(Note: This is not an all-inclusive list. Additional duties may be assigned).

Hire, counsel, and review the performance of all AGP employees. Ensure all AGP facilitators are properly trained to do all aspects of their jobs. Maintain close communication on staffing needs and HR issues with the Director of I&DD Services and the HR Manager.

Attend all required meetings, including SP Meetings, IDT Meetings, and HRC Meetings. Provide a recap to the appropriate supervisors after the meeting. Communicate with parents/guardians in a proactive manner.

Attend meetings at Community Center Boards as needed and relay information to team.

Ensure all required paperwork and tracking is completed in a timely manner.

Complete the schedule weekly. Ensure consumers scheduled hours are consistent with the requirements of the Service Plan, while maximizing scheduled hours. Ensure that ratios are appropriate given the demands of the day.

Complete all tracking for new and lost consumers, compliments and complaints on a weekly basis.

Complete intakes including scheduling tours, gathering necessary information/paperwork, contacting the appropriate resource coordinators, setting up the new consumer in When to Work, completing a binder and uploading information in company drive. Communicate potential and new consumers to appropriate supervisors. Ensure follow up is completed within a weeks' time.

Ensure that the consumer experience is of the highest quality day in and day out, whether the consumers utilizes the base site or spends time in the community. Adhere to all regulations and rules pertaining to the operation of a day program.

Handle and resolve all issues and problems that arise with AGP consumers.

Receive and review daily recaps from AGP staff and communicate any exceptional issues to Director of I&DD Services.

Communicate issues and concerns in a timely basis to Director of I&DD Services.

All other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Excellent communication skills

Ability to multi-task throughout the day

Ability to supervise, direct and communicate with employees who are on and off site

Have patience, compassion and empathy

High level of organization

Motivation to grow and run a top notch program

Ability to work in a fast paced environment

Ability to think on your feet when extenuating circumstances arise

Computer skills including Microsoft Office, email, and internet browsers

EXPECTATIONS:

Work 50 hours per week. Maintain an accurate daily schedule of your duties.

Complete on-call rotation as scheduled.

Comply with proper safety policies and procedures (including all laws).

Provide an exceptional level of customer service to all AGP consumers.

Provide consistent feedback to AGP employees.

Maintain a valid driver's license and good driving record.

Follow all To The Rescue policies and procedures.

Work as an integral and cooperative member of the management team, communicating as necessary with other managers directly affected by issues at AGP.

Professionalism in every aspect of the day while at AGP.

Keep consumer files up to date and complete AGP self-audits to ensure accuracy.

Ensure goals of current year business plan are being met or exceeding expectations.
