Middle Georgia State University and the Department of Media, Culture, and the Arts are accepting applications for a full-time, tenure track Music position at the rank of Assistant Professor, effective August 2018. This is a 10-month faculty position. We seek a pianist with practical experience in the music industry, an omnicultural perspective, and a vision for the 21st century aural skills curriculum. Expertise in classical and non-classical forms is a must, especially gospel and diverse commercial genres.

QUALIFICATIONS: An MM is required, but preference will be given to applicants with an earned doctorate in music and extensive experience in the music industry. Requirements also include a vibrant and continuing artistic practice. Teaching experience at the college or university level is an asset. The successful candidate will demonstrate commitment to creative activity, teaching, and service.
