General Summary: The University of North Georgia is currently accepting applications for a Research Assistant in the College of Education at the Gainesville campus. The research assistant will support faculty research projects. For instance, the individual will help with data collection and locating scholarly research literature. Also, the RA will help with coding of data and record keeping.

Job Duties & Responsibilities: The student will:
  • Search for and copy research articles for literature review.
  • Collect the data for ongoing literacy research project.
  • Copy, organize and file Fountas and Pinnell assessments, which will be used for assessing individual students.
  • Help with coding incoming data and maintain data base.
  • Support other duties as assigned.


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Data processing and Microsoft Office
  • Strong work ethics
  • Flexibility with time
  • Knowledge of APA or a willingness to learn.
  • Knowledgeable with university library databases
  • Strong writing ability


Certifications/Licenses & Minimum Requirements:
  • Must be enrolled at the University of North Georgia in a minimum of six (6) credit hours to qualify as a student worker and Federal Work Study eligible.
