General Summary: The University of North Georgia is currently accepting applications for a Administrative and Processing Assistant for the Hall County Library System (127 Main St. NW Gainesville, GA 30501). The assistant will assists with basic clerical duties such as filing, typing, reconciling packing slips, and answering phones. Processes materials for inclusion in the library collection by affixing labels, applying book covers, and performing simple repairs. Hours are flexible Monday-Friday 8am-5pm, 2-5 hours per day and 12-18 hours each week.

Job Duties & Responsibilities: The Assistant will:
  • Assist with basic clerical duties such as filing, typing, reconciling packing slips, and answering phones.
  • Process materials for inclusion in the library collection by affixing labels, applying book covers, and performing simple repairs.


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Candidates should have basic office skills such as word processing and filing.
  • Must be able to lift at least 10 lbs. and bend easily.


Certifications/Licenses & Minimum Requirements:
  • Must be enrolled at the University of North Georgia in a minimum of six (6) credit hours to qualify as a student worker and Federal Work Study eligible.
