General Summary: The University of North Georgia is currently accepting applications for a student worker as a Chemistry Lab Assistant. The Chemistry Department is seeking candidates who are: reliable (maintains work schedule with few to no missed shifts); motivated to work (moves to the next task without being asked or reminded); and flexible (work priorities may change daily).

The successful candidate uses appropriate safety precautions consistently (will be trained for tasks where precautions are necessary).

Job Duties & Responsibilities: The Chemistry Lab Assistant will assist with:
  • Solution preparation under direct faculty or staff supervision.
  • Setup/breakdown of lab experiment materials and equipment.
  • Cleaning and maintenance of lab equipment.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Certifications/Licenses & Minimum Requirements:
  • Must be enrolled at the University of North Georgia in a minimum of six (6) credit hours to qualify as a student worker
  • Completion of CHEM 1211 (or 1151) + Lab and CHEM 1212 (or 1152) + Lab
