Intramural Sports Official - Institutional Student Worker (Fall 2017)

General Summary: The Recreational Sports Department is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Intramural Sports Official. This position will be under the direct supervision of the Coordinator of Intramural Sports and Sport Clubs. There is no experience required, as all Intramural Sports Official's will be trained to officiate each sport. Officiated sports include Flag Football, Basketball, Soccer, Softball and Volleyball.

Job Duties & Responsibilities: The student will:
  • Actively officiate /judge each contest you are scheduled for
  • Attend all portions of training for all sports being officiated
  • Communicate availability on a routine basis
  • Attend film training sessions that are offered, as well as meetings throughout each sport


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, motivation, enthusiasm and attention to detail are a must.


Certifications/Licenses & Minimum Requirements:
  • Must be enrolled at the University of North Georgia in a minimum of six (6) credit hours to qualify as a student worker
  • CPR/First Aid Preferred.
  • Preferred officiating experience
