General Summary: The University of North Georgia is currently accepting applications for a Peer Chemistry Tutor. The student will tutor UNG students in chemistry problems and concepts.

Job Duties & Responsibilities: The peer tutor will:
  • Provide tutoring services for students in the following Chemistry courses: CHEM 1151, CHEM1152, CHEM1211, and CHEM1212.


Certifications/Licenses & Minimum Requirements:
  • Must be enrolled at the University of North Georgia in a minimum of six (6) credit hours to qualify as a student worker and Federal Work Study eligible.
  • Knowledge of CHEM 3441 and CHEM 3442 is a plus
  • Student must have good interpersonal and communication skills and feel confident about tutoring in the Chemistry courses mentioned above
  • Student tutor must have an overall GPA of 3.25 or higher
  • Student tutor must have earned a grade of B or higher in CHEM 1211 and CHEM 1212
