General Summary: The University of North Georgia is currently accepting applications for a Clerical/Food Pantry Assistant at The Community Helping Place. The assistant will perform general office work including but not limited to data entry, answering phones, making copies, shredding, filing and other tasks as needed. Food Pantry duties include but are not limited to direct client service, filing, weighing, sorting, shelving food and other tasks as needed. Flexible schedule weekdays and/or weekends.

Job Duties & Responsibilities: The student's duties include:
  • Data entry
  • Answering phones
  • Making copies
  • Shredding
  • Filing
  • Direct client service
  • Filing, weighing, sorting, shelving food
  • Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • General office skills with knowledge of basic office equipment and keyboarding skills
  • Must be able to lift food to weigh, sort, shelve and distribute
  • Must also possess good customer service skills

Certifications/Licenses & Minimum Requirements:
  • Must be enrolled at the University of North Georgia in a minimum of six (6) credit hours to qualify as a student worker and Federal Work Study eligible.
