General Summary: The University of North Georgia is currently accepting applications for a Federal Student Worker in the Human Resources department at the Gainesville campus. The HR Student Clerk will be responsible for scanning and correctly indexing all university employee documents into the document management software and once all documents have been scanned, indexed and cross-checked they must be shredded and disposed of properly. This student will also be responsible for answering incoming calls from the main telephone line and transfer to the appropriate individual or department when necessary, greet employees and visitors to the department, answer general questions, print completed onboarding documents from the applicant tracking system, provide assistance to new employees who need to complete final employment paperwork. This student must be able to perform very repetitive work, pay attention to detail, must have intermediate computer skills, work independently with little supervision when necessary, reliable, strong work ethic. This student will be asked to assist other functional areas in the HR Department when necessary.

Job Duties & Responsibilities: The student will:
  • Scan and correctly index employee documents
  • Shred and dispose of documents properly
  • Answer main HR telephone line, greet employees and visitors to the office
  • Answer general questions
  • Print completed onboarding documents from the applicant tracking system
  • Provide assistance to new employees who need to finish final employment paperwork

Certifications/Licenses & Minimum Requirements:
  • Must be enrolled at the University of North Georgia in a minimum of six (6) credit hours to qualify as a student worker and Federal Work Study eligible.
