General Summary: The University of North Georgia is currently accepting applications for a Front Desk Assistant in Academic Advising. The student will assist in performing general front desk administrative tasks.

Job Duties & Responsibilities: The student will:
  • Provide excellent customer service to Faculty, Staff, Students and Parents at all times via in person, phone, and email; transfer any complicated calls to an open advisor or allow a student to leave a message on their voice mail.
  • Check all advising forms and make sure ample copies are available for advisors use.
  • Check printers and copiers to insure paper is in each.
  • File ASP paperwork by advisor and stamping each asp scanned before it is filed.
  • Shred expired paperwork with personal information.
  • Assist Advisors as with projects as needed.
  • Straighten Supply and Material work room once a week to help maintain organization and keep a list of supplies that will soon need to be purchased.
  • With supervisor approval, have the ability to do homework or study if there is time after all tasks are completed.


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Basic computer skills, customer service, answering phones


Certifications/Licenses & Minimum Requirements:
  • Must be enrolled at the University of North Georgia in a minimum of six (6) credit hours to qualify as a student worker and Federal Work Study eligible.
