Position Summary: The mission of the UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center is to reduce cancer occurrence and death in North Carolina and the nation through research, treatment, training and outreach. The UNC Patient-Reported Outcomes Core (PRO Core) assists cancer outcomes researchers with collecting data directly from patients, for use in clinical research and clinical care. These data include patient-reported outcomes (e.g., self-reported symptoms, function, and quality of life) and data from wearables (e.g., steps, sleep, and heart rate), that provide information about the patient's experience of disease and treatment. The Faculty Director of PRO Core invites applications for a project manager to support the activities of PRO Core and of the faculty member's own research program, which are often interrelated. The principal functions of this position are project management, research administration, communication, and providing basic technical support. This position will manage a variety of projects and research studies that are supported by federally funded grants (e.g., NIH, PCORI). Activities will include consulting with project stakeholders, managing timelines, drafting structured reports to entities such as IRB and funding agencies, assisting with financial management, supervising ongoing data collection activities for specific research studies, and administrative tasks. In addition the project manager will serve as liaison between clients and PRO Core programmers, and will instruct clients in best practices for testing their project prior to go-live. Education Requirements: Bachelor's degree required.

Qualification and Experience: The preferred applicant will be a detail oriented, self-starter, with strong verbal and written communication skills. The preferred applicant will have an interest in obtaining a basic understanding of web servers, databases, and data transfer methods. The preferred applicant will have at least 3 years project management experience in the context of grant funded health research.
