Position Summary: The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill seeks a knowledgeable, innovative, and highly collaborative Librarian for Economics, Entrepreneurship, and Business, who will partner with and deliver research support to a wide variety of stakeholders on campus and across the State of North Carolina. The Librarian for Economics, Entrepreneurship, and Business will serve as the designated liaison to faculty, staff, and students in the Department of Economics, including faculty and staff in UNC's Minor in Entrepreneurship, and other departments in the social sciences as assigned or based on experience. Additionally, the liaison will work closely with the Kenan-Flagler Business School's librarian to support UNC's Kenan-Flagler Business School. The librarian in this position plays an important role in the Library's support of the Innovate Carolina initiative. The successful candidate will be highly visible across campus and the community, building strong partnerships with faculty, students, and other scholars across disciplines, campus departments that promote innovation and entrepreneurship, entrepreneurial student groups, individual entrepreneurs and small business owners, and local business incubators and startup accelerators.

Education Requirements: ALA-accredited Master's degree in Library or Information Science, or an advanced degree in a related field

Qualification and Experience: REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: *ALA-accredited Master's degree in Library or Information Science, or related advanced degree *Demonstrated ability to engage with a variety of user populations *Demonstrated experience delivering instruction and research support services in business or economics in an academic library or comparable setting *Familiarity with a broad range of business and economics resources *Demonstrated ability to successfully work in a team environment *Knowledge of and ability to use available statistical data for the social sciences *Excellent oral and written communication skills PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: * Two (2) years of professional experience, preferably in an academic or special library or a research institution *Master's in Business Administration or related advanced degree (including but not limited to management, economics, accounting, finance, marketing, operations, and entrepreneurship) *Evidence of the ability to participate in professional organizations and engage in research and publication as required for promotion
