Position Summary: The Department of Pediatrics at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC)/North Carolina Children's Hospital is seeking an individual for a non-tenure track faculty position in the Division of Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine. The North Carolina Children's Hospital is part of a busy quaternary care medical center with a 58 bed multidisciplinary Neonatal Critical Care Center (NCCC) that admits over 900 patients per year and supports active pediatric general surgery, pediatric cardiothoracic surgery, and newborn airway programs, as well as being the referral center for central and eastern North Carolina. The Division of Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine currently consists of 10 full time faculty. In addition, the division maintains a fully-accredited Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine Fellowship Program. The Division of Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine is a member of the NICHD Global Health Network, the NICHD Neonatal Research Network, the Pediatric Trials Network, the Extremely Low Gestational Age Newborn Study, and the Perinatal Quality Collaborative of North Carolina, providing numerous opportunities for scholarly contributions to clinical and implementation science. UNC offers ready access to collaborators in other departments, global and public health, public policy and other expertise across campus. UNC is a National Institutes of Health (NIH) Clinical and Translational Science Award (CTSA) funded institution.
Education Requirements: The successful candidate will be board certified in Pediatrics and BC/BE in Pediatric Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine with training and experience in academic neonatology.
Qualification and Experience: This faculty position will be committed to patient care. A demonstrated commitment to quality improvement is expected for all faculty within the Division. Rank and salary will be commensurate with training, experience, and academic accomplishments.
