Job Summary: The Lead Campus Safety Officer is responsible for ensuring the security and safety of all students, employees and visitors on the University Campus and; monitoring performance and the initial and on-going training of Campus Safety Officers on shift regarding Campus Safety task and knowledge competencies. Shift times: 6:30 am to 3:00 pm Saturday and Sunday off

Working Hours:

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: One year continuous security/safety experience. A minimum of two years of college (45 credit hours) or prior military or law enforcement experience. A valid driver's license with a good driving record. Demonstrated ability to exercise considerable judgment, discretion and professionalism in managing sensitive situations and/or irate individuals. Excellent organizational, communication (written and verbal), interpersonal skills, observation and attention to detail. Ability to demonstrate a commitment to service excellence by embodying Roosevelt's core values, mission, and vision in every aspect of the role working with students, faculty, staff, and visitors. A positive and professional demeanor is a must. Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and Outlook. Demonstrated proficiency in explaining and performing Campus Safety task competencies and knowledge.

Preferred Qualifications: Earned Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice or related field. Previous experience in preliminary investigation and preparing incident reports. Previous customer service experience. Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Outlook. Previous experience in higher education.
