Under the direction of the Director of Payroll, perform a variety of complex and specialized accounting functions in the processing of District-wide payroll including the interpretation of applicable laws, codes and regulations; maintain accurate, complete and confidential payroll and other personnel records; and maintain communication with appropriate staff and outside agencies to resolve a variety of payroll processing problems.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Any combination equivalent to: two years of college with major course work in accounting/business and three years' experience in payroll related work, preferably in a public agency or institution of higher Education.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience with Ellucian is highly desired.
SALARY & BENEFITS:
Range 28, Steps 1-6, $4,645.00-$5,651.00. Initial placement for external applicants is Step 1. An excellent benefits package which includes medical, vision, dental, retirement, vacation, generous sick leave package, and life insurance is available for the employee and eligible dependents.
WORKING DAYS & HOURS:
Monday-Friday: 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. (Approximately). Work schedule may be adjusted to meet the needs of the office.
STARTING DATE: As soon as the successful candidate is identified and following the subsequent governing board approval.
