Research Associate-Fixed Term- amended
Applications are invited for a research associate (post-doctoral researcher) in Criminal Justice/Criminology in the School of Criminal Justice at Michigan State University. The successful candidate for the current position will provide research guidance and project management for several externally funded research projects. The candidate will work with the Principal Investigator and collaborate with a group of graduate students to design methods, conduct data collection and analysis, and prepare project reports and scientific articles. The primary research projects involve action research in Michigan communities including Detroit and Flint, with additional opportunities for collaboration in state and national research projects.
The appointment is initially for one year,with the possibility of extension, based on performance and the availability of funding. The salary will be competitive and commensurate with experience.Required Degree

- Candidates are expected to hold a Ph.D. in criminal justice, criminology or related social science fields with preference to candidates with evaluation, geospatial, and/or social network methodological skills.
- Candidates will be considered if PhD will be conferred by August 15, 2018.
- The successful candidate will demonstrate interest in collaborative research working with faculty, students, as well as criminal justice and community partners.
