Job Description:

The Department of Environmental and Global Health is recruiting a tenure or non-tenure track faculty member at the Assistant Professor level. The non-tenure track line will be primarily expected to teach several courses each semester at the graduate and undergraduate levels including but not limited to Environmental Health Concepts, Global Public Health, Environmental Sustainability and Development. This individual will have opportunity to also serve as Director of the new Master of Health Science One Health distance learning degree program. The tenure-track line will also teach but will be expected to have a research portfolio, with the expectation to provide 50% funding support within the first three years of hire. Applicants should have a doctoral degree in an environmental or biomedical-related field. Evidence of previous teaching experience essential and experience in environmental health teaching preferred. The position is supported by a competitive salary and benefits. This is a 1.0 FTE, 12-month position, expected to start Spring-Summer 2018.

The College of Public Health and Health Professions is in the University's Health Science Center, which also includes the Colleges of Medicine, Pharmacy, Nursing, Dentistry, and Veterinary Medicine. The Health Science Center also partners with the immediately adjacent UF Health Shands Hospital, and Malcom Randall VA Medical Center, and the UF Health Science Center Regional campus located in Jacksonville, FL. Additional major institutes and centers located at the University of Florida include the Emerging Pathogens Institute, the Institute of Child Health Policy, the UF Health Cancer Center, the UF Genetics Institute, the Clinical and Translational Science Institute and the McKnight Brain Institute, all of which provide state-of-the-art environments and access to large data sets for faculty collaboration.

Doctoral degree in an environmental or biomedical-related field.
