Administrative Associate II - Technology
Performs both standard and more advanced administrative duties normally under general supervision of Deans/Chairs of depts. Typical duties include performing standard secretarial and/or minor administrative duties, in addition to other specific duties as assigned/required that may include supervision of other support staff, student workers or temporary hires.
Position is located in the College of Continuing and Professional Education which offers educational training opportunities including professional certificates in paralegal, healthcare, human resources, computer training, foreign languages, ESL, TESOL, as well as summer camps and leisure programs.
Position serves as lead administrative support for Professional programs. Essential functions include: answering questions about course and programs and directing inquiries to the appropriate Program Manager; training and supervising an Administrative Assistant support position as well as student workers, preparing contracts and requests for payments biweekly; assist with logistics and train staff to prepare for revenue generating courses; process instructor paperwork; create and maintain instructor files; process payroll for instructor payments; monitor inventory and office supplies and books; order supplies as needed.
Applicant should be organized, detail-oriented, have excellent written and communication skills, have problem solving skills, and intermediate Microsoft Office skills.
Typical work schedule will be Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm.
Some evening work will be required during special events held approximately 6 times per year such as Open House and Graduation with several month's notice.
This position will be compensated $14.35 per hour.

Required Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED and 3 yrs. of related experience.
