Required Qualifications: (As Evidenced by an Attached Resume)

Bachelor’s Degree and two (2) years of full time administrative experience in a student services and/or admissions type area within a Higher Education/academic environment. Proficient, professional experience in word processing, spreadsheet management, electronic messaging and internet applications (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google Apps, etc...). Outstanding written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Experience successfully working independently as well as part of a team with a collaborative approach to problem solving. Strong organizational and time management skills with exceptional attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's Degree. Experience with a Student Information System in a Higher Education Setting, such as Banner, PeopleSoft, etc. Experience inputting external admissions applications into the system. Experience with document imaging/ scanning and indexing/attaching within management software system.

Brief Description of Duties:

Plans, schedules and assigns work to support staff. Assists in the planning and preparation of a department's or division's budget request. Performs routine monthly reconciliation and analysis for internal/ external purpose. Assists in the preparation and submission of grant applications. Liaison between the Director/Department Chair and the professional staff of institution with respect to administrative matters. Gathers research and statistical data as requested. Supervises Graduate Assistants, Teaching Assistants, Student Interns, clerical support (1-2) Maintains office budget. Monitors faculty and professional appointments with respect to operative dates for contract renewal, permanent appointment; and prioritizing mail. Proof reads general correspondence. Other duties or projects as assigned as appropriate to rank and departmental mission. Special Notes: This is a full time position. FLSA Nonexempt position, eligible for the overtime provisions of the FLSA.
