Responsibilities:

The Assistant Director, Marketing Graduate Programs is part of the College of Computer and Information Science (CCIS) marketing team and will report to the Director of Marketing and Digital Strategy. The Assistant Director, Marketing Graduate Programs is responsible for strategic development and management of the College's graduate program marketing efforts. The Assistant Director, Marketing Graduate Programs will work with the Director to develop a marketing and communications plan for graduate programs and will develop social media, digital and print initiatives to execute the plan.

The Assistant Director, Marketing Graduate Programs will work closely with the CCIS graduate school administration, recruiters at graduate campuses in Boston, Seattle, Charlotte, Silicon Valley and Toronto to target the appropriate audiences and develop initiatives to raise awareness of CCIS programs. This role will develop branded event materials (presentation templates/posters/banners/print/digital displays) to ensure consistent delivery across events. The Assistant Director, Marketing Graduate Programs will also work closely with the Professional Advancement Network to coordinate marketing efforts.

Duties will include, researching and producing content including news stories, photography and video to promote the graduate programs. The candidate will be required to work closely with a wide range of groups across and beyond Northeastern including faculty, administration and students so exceptional communication skills are a must. This position will also be responsible for producing content and he/she must be a strong writer. Design skills and experience with Adobe products (InDesign/Illustrator/Photoshop) and WordPress is preferred. Candidate must have excellent project management skills.

The Assistant Director, Marketing Graduate Programs will work with the graduate school administration and recruiters to identify conferences, graduate fairs and colleges and universities for outreach efforts. The Assistant Director, Marketing Graduate Programs will develop a marketing plan and coordinate all outreach efforts across campuses.

As part of the marketing plan the marketing manager will develop a social media plan for promoting programs on all platforms including Facebook, LinkedIn Twitter, Instagram and Snapchat. The individual should be proactive with finding new ways to leverage social media activities. This position will work on developing Social Media Ambassadors from the graduate student population.

This position with work with the Director and our selected vendors to produce and maintain print materials, Web designs, banner ads and videos. Experience managing contract design projects is preferred. The Assistant Director, Marketing Graduate Programs will ensure that all materials and communications across all of our graduate campuses are delivered to the standard expected by the college and ensure brand management.

The Assistant Director, Marketing Graduate Programs will be an integral part of CCIS' flexible and responsive Marketing team and will assist with all College marketing efforts as needed.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or related field with minimum of 4 -6 years of experience in marketing and communications. Higher education experience preferred. Demonstrated success in the development and implementation of marketing strategies. Flexible, creative thinker open to new ideas and changing priorities within a fast-paced organization. Strong project management skills and ability to manage across multiple levels of an organization. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to think and act both analytically and strategically.
