Events Coordinator

Division: Business & Finance

Nature of Work

To provide assistance with the planning organizing and coordination of activities associated with events held at The Coliseum.

 

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree and 1 year of experience in related field.
Willingness to work early morning, late night, and weekend shifts depending upon event schedule.
Strong communication and customer service skills and capable of working with students, faculty, staff and members of the community. Ability to work in a dynamic, team environment. Ability to adjust to change and diverse responsibilities and the ability to take directions and communicate effectively.

 

Preferred Qualifications

Prefer 2 years of events related experience.

 

Salary

$16.15 minimum to $19.99 midpoint (Hourly)

 

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions

Will be required to walk, stoop, and lift 50+ lbs.

Events can require extended work hours (i.e., 12+ hours) across multiple sequential days.

Must be able to work days, nights, weekends, and some holidays.

Work will be in a public assembly facility and employee will sometimes be working in noisy and visually dynamic (e.g., use of strobe lights) conditions.
