Job Description
The University of North Texas Library is seeking to hire a Senior Administrative Specialist to join our team. As part of the administrative team in the Finance and Administration Office, this position serves as the principal buyer for all library procurement and acts as an expert source of information on purchasing rules and regulations.

Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:

*Oversees purchasing workflows for the Libraries: enters, reviews and processes purchase requests in the Libraries Purchases Dashboard
* Enters ePRO requisitions in EIS
* Acts as purchasing card holder and reconciler. Maintains records of purchasing card transactions.
* Oversees supplies purchasing, storage and delivery
* Maintains records of library purchases
* Provides feedback and insight on purchasing processes
* Communicates with library staff, vendors and purchasing departments to troubleshoot issues and ensure proper workflows are followed
* Sends vacancy notices to ALA-accredited library schools or to other recipients
* Arranges for shipment of express shipped items
* As a member of the Libraries Admin Office Team ? Shares responsibility for the smooth day to day operations of the Libraries Administrative Office, participates in meetings, provides feedback, reviews workflows and processes

Minimum Qualifications
The successful candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree and three years of highly responsible and varied office administration
or business management experience; or any equivalent combination of experience, education, and training.

The following knowledge, skills, and abilities are required:

* Exceptional customer service skills.
* Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
* Knowledge of accounting/budgeting procedures.
* Ability to work under pressure, to adjust to constant changes, to handle multiple tasks, and to coordinate the work of others.
*Ability to keep complex records, to assemble and organize data of complex nature, and to prepare and submit reports in acceptable formats.
* Ability to conceptualize, plan and organize multiple programs and assignments
* Ability to work on complex and confidential tasks utilizing judgment, tact, and resourcefulness.
* Skill in developing and maintaining good working relationships.
* Knowledge of policies, practices, procedures and terminology of assigned function.
* Supervisory skills.

Preferred Qualifications
The preferred candidate will possess the following additional qualifications:

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Knowledge of university budget systems and reconciliation processes.
* Familiarity with EIS/Peoplesoft/Cognos.
* Familiarity with university purchasing card program (PCard), HUB program and HEAF purchasing guidelines.
