Job Description



Position Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

Contract Management / Subcontractor Management
  • Issues Field Work Directive (FWD) for additional work as required and ensures all FWDs are properly filled out with detailed information
  • Manages Requests for Information (RFIs) including drafting, distributing to proper consultant or architect, soliciting responses from responsible party and issuing confirming RFI for all verbal directives to make project changes and posts within 48 hours from print
  • Manages the receiving and distribution of Construction Change Directives (CCDs), Bulletins, and Addendums and posts within 48 hours from print
  • Drafts detailed daily field reports and submit to superintendent for review and posting
  • Manages equipment and material deliveries and coordinates with responsible subcontractor

Financial Management and Forecast at Completion

• Review and approve applicable Division 1 invoicing

• Review labor daily timecards

• Assist Project Manager in procuring Division 1 services

Safety Management
  • Reviews and understands Safety Program
  • Reviews subcontractor safety manuals to ensure compliance with Safety Program
  • Performs safety inspections, at a weekly minimum, documents deficiencies, assigns responsibilities for corrections, distributes notices and ensures deficiencies are corrected
  • Helps superintendent in pre-planning meetings and safety orientations as required
  • Assists superintendent in managing weekly tool box talks by obtaining weekly topics and logging and filing documentation
  • Assists superintendent in issuing and tracking safety violations
  • Maintains OSHA 300 Log and submits to Safety Director
  • Assists Superintendent in preforming all Incident/Injury Reports and communicating with Safety Director
  • Monitors safety equipment and sign levels and request additional if needed from Project Manager
  • Successful completion of OSHA 30

Quality Management

• Assists Superintendent in ensuring finished project meets or exceeds the quality requirements in the project plan specifications and approved submittals
  • Ensures the Field Office has a copy of all approved submittals
  • Maintains organized, efficient, current and up-to-date files and records for Field Office
  • Takes daily and weekly project photos and downloads, files, and post
  • Performs erosion control inspections as required
  • Helps the Superintendent in managing Building, Fire, and Licensing inspections by scheduling, documenting, ensuring corrections are made, filing and scheduling follow up inspections
  • Coordinates third party testing agencies as required
  • Assists Superintendent with punchlist completion

Schedule Management and Planning
  • Assists Superintendents three week look-ahead schedules and tracking delays. Distributes to subcontractors and suppliers
  • Assists Superintendent in maintaining the master project schedule with distributing weekly updates to the project team
  • Participates in the weekly subcontractor meetings by distributing prior meeting minutes, taking notes, taking a leadership role, helping Superintendent respond to questions and typing and distributing new meeting minutes
  • Helps the Superintendent to schedule subcontractors and makes follow up calls to ensure work starts and progresses according to the project schedule
  • Manages the scheduling, delivery and installation or owner procured materials and equipment to insure a quality installation

  • Develops relationship with architect and consultants (Civil, Electrical, Mechanical)


• Requires 100% travel and relocation to assigned project site
