Job Description Summary:

GW's College of Professional Studies (CPS) designs programs with the requirements of adult learners and working professionals in mind. CPS offers undergraduate and graduate programs that address the competency requirements of adults working in emerging and rapidly changing professions. CPS programs draw from multiple academic disciplines and are delivered in flexible formats: face-to-face, online, or a blend of both. CPS is searching for a full-time Administrative Associate to support the Dean's Office and Program Directors. This position will report to the Director of Finance for CPS. Responsibilities include:

Greeting and directing visitors entering the Dean's suite and callers to the main phone line.
Coordinating meetings, program residencies and other special events (scheduling rooms, catering, AV equipment, transportation and lodging, as appropriate) and provides related administrative support.
Making travel arrangements for the Dean, Associate Deans and Program Directors as needed.
Maintaining supply, stationery, publications, and other inventories for CPS Dean's office.
Overseeing office calendars and assisting in scheduling.
Maintaining emergency contact information for staff.
Acting as CPS Dean's office liaison to university services such as mail, telephone, printing, and housekeeping.
Performs other work related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Qualified candidates will hold a Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area of specialization. Degree must be conferred by the start date of the position. Degree requirements may be substituted with an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Customer service attitude.

Proficiency in Microsoft MS Office Suite.

Ability to be resourceful, proactive and work independently.

Strong team player.
