The department of Molecular and Biomedical Pharmacology is seeking a Laboratory Technician to be responsible for small animal colony management, requiring detailed record keeping, blood and tissue collection and other technical skills related to animal husbandry.

Will also perform laboratory experiments including primary cell isolation and culture, Western blots, immunoprecipitation, protein purification via various columns, flow cytometry, cloning transfection and expression in cells, expression and purification of proteins transformations, RNA and DNA purification, southern blot, northern blot, ChIP assays, PCR (real time and traditional), and cell culture.

In addition, the person in this position will be responsible for ordering and maintaining appropriate inventory of supplies for the lab.
