The Museum of Fine Arts (MoFA) at Florida State University hosts a full spectrum of programming year-round with a goal of enriching the university and the community by expanding the understanding of historical and contemporary art. The scope of MoFA’s offerings ranges from the vigorous art of regional artists and students to presentations by international artists.


Responsible for requesting goods and services to be purchased and ensures prompt payment. Serves as department budget manager responsible for reconciling accounts and processing deposits and disbursements. Arranges travel and creates travel authorizations and expense reports for travelers.
Serves as departmental HR representative responsible for hiring employees and volunteers. Responsible for entering and updating faculty assignments annually into appropriate University systems.
Prepares correspondence, reports, and forms. Responsible for completing general administrative work for the department including sorting and distributing mail, maintain calendars and schedules, providing information to callers and guests, ordering office supplies, and maintaining contact lists. Assists with organization and oversight of Museum of Fine Arts events. Assist with writing, editing, and submitting grant proposals.
Assists with inventory and manages building security and access.


High school diploma is required. Two years of experience is preferred.
Previous experience bookkeeping, working in an office setting is required.
Experience working with Microsoft Office Suite, to include Word, Excel, and Outlook.


Experience with OMNI purchasing, travel, and HR modules and University purchasing card and travel processes. An extreme attention to detail especially in terms of budget reconciliation is also preferred.

Anticipated Salary Range

Low $20"s,Commensurate with experience.

Pay Plan

This is an USPS (University Support Personnel System) position.


20 hours per week between the hours of 9:00-4:00pm Monday-Friday
