The Senior Associate Vice President (AVP) for the Department of University Personnel provides strategic leadership and vision for the development, implementation and ongoing assessment of all human resources and faculty affairs functions provided to University faculty and staff. The Senior AVP is charged with inspiring confidence and trust among faculty, administrators and staff while working to achieve operational goals and responsibilities.
Core services include, but are not limited to benefits, payroll, workers’ compensation, leaves of absence, recruitment, appointment, classification and compensation, promotion, tenure and sabbatical processes, training, performance management, on and off-boarding, HR information systems, compliance, employee conduct oversight, and labor relations within the collective bargaining environment.
This position requires adherence to University compliance training such as: Conflict of Interest, AB1825 Sexual Harassment Prevention, Sexual Violence Awareness and Prevention, and Information and Data Security. This position is required to file a Conflict of Interest Statement and a Statement of Economic Interests on an annual basis.
This is a position in the CSU - Management Personnel Plan (MPP), and serves at the pleasure of the President. This position will require adherence to University compliance training, such as Conflict of Interest and Ethics, AB 1825 Sexual Harassment Prevention, Information Security, and Injury and Illness Prevention Program. The person hired for this position may be required to complete an outside employment disclosure statement in accordance with Title V of the California Code of Regulations.
