Reporting to the Senior Director of Research and Strategy, the Director of Market Research will be a knowledgeable, savvy and influential marking insights professional who can help drive Temple University's research strategy. The Director will be responsible for managing the planning, design and execution of market research projects (quantitative and qualitative) from development of research objectives to methodology and presentation of final recommendations in support of the key university marketing strategies and programs. The Director will manage and provide research and support to various teams within Strategic Marketing and Communications, as well as selected colleges and departments- overseeing the collection and analysis of relevant market data and presenting solution-oriented recommendations that will enhances the marketing decisions of the organization. The Director will provide leadership and expertise in higher education marketing as well as monitor trends, competitive practices, and newly developing processes within research industry to develop a leading-edge higher education marketing research organization. Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in market research, marketing, communications, statistics, business administration, or a related field. At least five (5) years of directly related experience leading marketing research initiatives and conducting statistical research and analysis (both quantitative and qualitative). Experience in higher education. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Required Skills & Abilities: * Demonstrated ability to lead the building & development of a best in class centralized market insights that drive business results.

* Knowledge of scoping targeted market research initiatives that forecast market trends and inform/influence regional strategic plans.

* Demonstrated ability to manage and supervise a team, and proven skills of leadership and the ability to coach and mentor motivate subordinates.

* Ability to develop strategic partnerships with key internal stakeholders.

* Demonstrated knowledge of benchmarking of market insights programs and processes.

* Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. * Knowledge of MS Office products. Preferred: * Experience managing teams with proven skills of leadership and the ability to mentor motivate subordinates.
