Summary of Duties:
The Director for College Assistance Migrant Program (CAMP) will provide the direction and over sight of this federally funded program including unit operations, fiscal management, personnel functions, and related administrative functions and is responsible for establishing and implementing strategies to increase student participation, retention and academic success for Migrant Seasonal Farmworker students during their freshman year at Washington State University. Provides the leadership and direction; planning, developing, supervising, managing, and administering programs, strategies; responsible for directing and controlling program operations and is accountable for the allocation of resources and program results; providing direct outreach services to students and parents; establish and implement short and long-range organizational goals and objectives; represents the university to internal and external constituents; supervise the delivery and evaluation of program services to ensure progress and compliance in the area of student retention and graduation of program participants; support the Division of Student Affairs and the University strategic plan; utilize working knowledge of policies, principles and procedures of federal regulations outlined under the U.S. Department of Education Office of Migrant Education. The successful candidate will provide and execute the vision to address changing social, educational, demographic and financial issues that impact service delivery to students. A Bachelor’s degree in a field relevant to area of specialization and three (3) years of experience directly related to the specialty area. Any combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.
