Assistant Professor of Psychology
The Department of Psychology & Sociology invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor in Experimental, Social, or Cognitive Psychology. Applicants must have expertise in experimental, social, or cognitive psychology; expertise in learning or emotions is desirable. Employment begins no later than August, 2018. Review of applications begins immediately. Ph.D. in Experimental, Social, or Cognitive Psychology is required, but ABD will be considered if the degree can be completed within the first year of appointment. Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate and graduate courses within areas of the candidate's expertise and interests. Ability to teach online is desirable. Additional responsibilities include student mentorship, conducting research in areas of the candidate's interests, providing service to the M.S. in Applied and Experimental Psychology programs, department, and university.
About the Department. The Psychology and Sociology Department offers bachelor's degrees in psychology and sociology as well as master's degrees in Applied, Counseling, and I-O psychology. Department faculty direct laboratories conducting research in social perception, neuroscience, cognition, Industrial-Organizational Psychology, clinical science, and deception.
