Education: MA/MS in related field
Experience: 10 years of experience in related field.
Security Clearance: Top Secret, Top Secret/Special Compartmented Information, or Secret.
The successful applicant will lead and execute aspects of systems engineering related to missile defense elements (sensors, weapons, communications, command and control) and systems (interoperability, etc.). Efforts will include requirements management, risk management, test support, analyses and assessments of ground, flight and experimental data collection, and development of reports, briefings, documents and white papers. The successful applicant will lead teams of engineers in specific efforts, contribute directly to those efforts, and mentor junior engineers and analysts.
Capable of leading and executing extensive engineering/scientific support on systems, system elements, interfacing systems, components, devices and/or processes for complex developmental and operational weapon system programs; Possesses in-depth practical and theoretical technical/engineering knowledge; Capable of working independently, as a team member, or leading teams/tasks to solve engineering/scientific problems; Capable of leading implementation of system engineering "V" processes across a program acquisition life cycle; Capable of providing daily supervision and direction to support teams.
The Advanced Engineer will spend significant time leading teams of engineers in the performance of systems engineering (requirements, risk, test support) and analysis/assessment tasks (defining TPMs, data/tool verification, metrics estimation, briefing development, etc.). Some time will be devoted to reporting/briefing of results to stakeholders. The Advanced Engineer will also mentor junior engineers and analysts.
