The Department of Psychology at the University of Kentucky in Lexington, Kentucky invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor in Cognitive Developmental Psychology to begin Fall 2018. Candidates should have an established program of independent research in any aspect of cognitive development. Areas of specialization may include, but are not limited to, attention, memory, perception, emotion, language, and judgment and decision-making, or disorders that affect cognitive development. The developmental period researched may include any range during the lifespan.

The successful candidate must have a doctorate in psychology and will be expected to: 1) undertake an active program of research that leads to publication in peer-reviewed outlets; 2) seek extramural funding; 3) teach undergraduate and graduate courses as needed by the department, and 3) mentor graduate and undergraduate students in research.

Applicants must submit the following: 1) cover letter, 2) CV, 3) statements of research and teaching interests (upload under Specific Request 1), and 4) three representative publications (upload all three as one document under Specific Request 2). Also provide the names and contact information for three references when prompted in the academic profile. This information will be utilized to solicit recommendation letters from your references within the employment system.
