Position Summary

Responsible for the implementation of systems and initiatives influencing financial planning and management, operations management, human resource management,information systems design and delivery, marketing, professional development and ethical responsibilities on behalf of the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs (VCSA). The Business Officer functions as a member of the senior management for the division of Student Affairs, administrative authority for the department. These activities are very complex, demanding, and very detailed. This position reorts to the VCSA and acts as one of the three primary designees, along with the 2 Associate Vice Chancellors for Student Affairs, representing the VCSA in committees and other campus meetings as needed. This position directly supervises the Business Services Coordinator (advanced). The total budget for the division is approximately $41M.



Minimum Qualifications

BACHELOR'S DEGREE IN BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION, PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION, OR RELATED BUSINESS AREA; OR EQUIVALENT COMBINATION OF TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE. ALL DEGREES MUST BE RECEIVED FROM APPROPRIATELY ACCREDITED INSTITUTIONS.



Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience of at least three years working with complex accounts funded by student activity fee funds, state funds, auxiliary (receipt) funds, endowment funds, scholarship funds, and reserve funds.



Alternate Option
