Required Qualifications: (As evidenced by an attached resume)
HS Diploma/GED. Formal undergraduate course[s] with major in Biomedical Engineering.
Bachelor's degree, preferably in Biomedical Engineering. Formal education courses involving a neuroscience lab and/or some experience/exposure to a neuroscience environment.
Experience with one, preferably more than one of the following: basic animal handling, colony management of multiple breeding lines, and optical imaging for living system.
Brief Description of Duties: This position is established to accomplish necessary routine work for the project in coordination with graduate PhD research. The successful incumbent must be responsible and detail-oriented. Under the guidance of PI, the Project Aide will assist with sponsored research efforts toward understanding the connections within the brain’s reward circuitry using a unique optical imaging platform. Incumbent must possess outstanding written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Experience successfully working independently as well as part of a team.
- Assist with laboratory preparation and set-up, document preparation, and clean up.
- Other duties or projects as assigned.
