Description of Responsibilities: The Staff Assistant for Financial and Occupancy Operations for Residence Life and Housing is a member of the department’s central office staff. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: facilitation of departmental purchasing (including staff travel arrangements), maintenance and analysis of departmental accounts, monitoring and replenishment of inventories, coordination of billing and collection processes, and assisting with all aspects of occupancy management for our residential communities. Additionally, the Staff Assistant for Financial and Occupancy assists in coordinating and maintaining occupancy records and room assignment processes for a residential campus housing 4300 students.
In addition, will be expected to display a commitment to undergraduate and/or graduate education, and possess communication and interpersonal skills sufficient to work effectively with an increasingly diverse array of students and colleagues.
- Bachelor’s degree
- A minimum of two years full-time work experience to include administrative experience in a financial and/or accounting setting
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Experience with billing and financial administration
- Demonstrated customer service and interpersonal skills
