Job Description Summary
Be a part of the Recording Arts team. If you have completed the Capstone project and scored high marks in all RAT classes, this position may be for you. This is not an entry level position. You must be fluent in operation of the RAT studio complex, live sound systems and on location recording. You will work on projects both within the college and out in the community. Equipment management, check in and check out, lab monitoring, and student mentoring are just as much a part of this job as the recording projects. You must be customer service oriented and have the ability to communicate clearly. If this is right for you, you will know.
Assist in maintaining Recording Arts & Technology Labs and studios. Work in equipment room to sign out and sign in equipment to students. Monitor open labs. Mentor RAT students. Other duties as assigned. Some office filing and duties may be assigned as needed.
Must be a current RAT student. Successful completion of first year RAT curriculum with GPA of 3.0 or above. Self-starting, dependable, able to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to read and understand technical manuals.
Eligible for RAT-2940 Audio Recording Field Experience.
ProTools Certification. RAT2940 – Field Experience completed.
To be determined by department and student's schedule. Will include evenings and weekends.
