Office Assistant (Part-time/Temporary) - Center for Learning and Academic Support Services

General Summary:

The Office Assistant will provide support for administrative functions within the Centers for Learning and Academic Support Services.  Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

Inputs and updates electronic forms for student staff on a timely basis in compliance with department budget.  Ensures that all new hire paperwork is properly completed and forwarded to HR.  Assists new hires as needed with enrollment and usage of HR Direct.  Assists in the supervision of front desk student desk.  Maintains, tracks and orders office supplies.  Resolves related problems.  Creates and manages Purchase Orders.  Prepares and pays vendor invoices.  Registers staff for professional events, coordinates travel arrangement and maintains professional memberships.  Processes related vouchers and tracks business receipts.  Prepares department reports, manages outreach packages and large mailings.   Assists with preparation of department events.  Works with vendors to maintain office equipment and order supplies.  Assist with projects as needed.

Minimum Qualifications (Required):

  • High School Diploma or GED/equivalent with 2- 4 years office experience and strong customer service skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
